Ooh baby it's a wild world
Well, it seems we here in Tasmania are in the middle of a tumultuous time. I will not go on about the miners, everyone knows about it except to say it is difficult to remain uncynical in the face of our media. I am not sure that Shannon Noll and Eddie McGuire are what Beaconsfield needs right now. A cup of tea and a quite read might be more appropriate.

A policeman was shot after pulling someone up on the highway near Pontville in the south.

It has been 10 years since the Port Arthur massacre.

We have some bloody cold weather. Seismic activity. What next? It makes one quite tired just thinking about it.

I have been knitting like a knitting freak, trying to complete two projects for Mother's Day. I will get there - I know I will. I was thinking that I would knit all day Saturday but then remembered we are off to see the Wizard, so that will be a couple of hours out of the day. Is it strange to hope no one visits so I can spend more time knitting? Still no photos sorry!

Comments:
We have had an awful few weeks, there were the 3 men drowned at the Tuna fishing comp. at Port Arthur and the 4 young women Uni students killed in the car crash too. We are due a lot more very very good good news soon.
Cool, Ding Dong the Witch is dead!! and all those flying monkeys!! Have a great time!!!
Now what is wrong with shunning the company of others in preference to a little yarn and needle time?? Nothing!!!
Good Old Everywhere Eddie and Shannon Nowwll. That's a tragedy in itself, isn't it!!!

I'm so glad the miners are out and OK but, boy, what a circus!
Did you see the story of survival at the other end of the country? Three men in a boat for 22 days rescued on...9 May.
Spooky, eh?

I htought I would at least have a couple of weeks fairly free after I stopped working where i might be able to sit down and actually finish something that's been languishing for an obscene amount of time. But no such luck, as I have been visiting people or going out to appointments nearly every day!

Maybe next week I will have beter luck.

Suzi.

I can't help but feel that Eddie has alterior motives, as in his network getting exclusive rights to the story!!!
