A little bit o' knittin'
I was interested to read that the Knitting Party at Spotlight wasn't the greatest! I had my suspicions. Well, what have I been up to this week?
I finished a Jaywalker, and am yet to start the other one. I was a bit bored with it I guess, but I will attempt to start and finish by the end of the week. I also made a face washer with
this pattern. I really like it - I am putting it away for Christmas. I will post a photo soonish. I think I will order some soap from Lush and bundle them together. I love Lush soap, especially the
Rock Star one. Have you tried it? Yum yum! I have also started the doll for Little Miss, she loved Jill: (Credit to the poor suckers I stole the photo from. Thanks Google images).

Lucky mother is going to be the recipient of the red scarf from the previous post. I started the clapotis in brown Country Silk, and it just didn't work. I think it was a meeting of country and city - the yarn is too rustic looking. I think. Now I have six balls of Country Silk and no idea what to do with it. Anyone have any suggestions? Three pairs of silky sox? A manly scarf that will never be worn? A felted bag (can you felt silk???) HELP!
How cold is it? My goodness. I was so late for work this morning because my car was frozen after already being defrozen by SS. Does anyone have a trick for defreezing your windows without covering yourself in water? Please share!
I watched
Walk the Line on the weekend and found it - bearable. I am not particularly fond of Johnny Cash, I prefer my country with a beard (yay Kenny Rogers!) and found that I had little sympathy or empathy for his character. It did make me remember a particularly bizarre phase I went through as an adolescent where I listened to a great deal of 50s rock - I used to have a whole lotta shakin going on!
Have a nice week!
