on how life gets in the way of knitting
I do not have photos to share. I have not finished the Tiny Madam's doll even though her cute little self keeps asking me when it will be done. I have not finished (er, nor started) the second Jaywalker. I have been working so very VERY hard this week to make sure I meet all of the obligations I am supposed to meet at work. And, I have succeeded. But the trade off is I have done very little knitting.

I had a special visitor at work the other day. None other than the wonderful and most terrific Cindy2Paw was waiting for me when I got back from Banjos with far too much Diet Coke. And she brought me presents! Patterns and yarn oh my oh my. I am not entirely sure it is not my fault she got sick (I love a double negative. It is a good way to almost get oneself out of strife!). I had a terrible croaky throat earlier in the week. I tried not to cough on her, I promise. Cindy brought me two patterns, one for Bolshoi which she was modelling oh so expertly and one for me to use my ill-bought Country Silk, which has started to become this:

I am home alone. SS is at work. The musketeers are with their Poppy. I have half listened to two episodes of Iron Chef. Why don't we eat the whole fish, guts and all?

PS, I am reflecting on the year past, and it is almost twelve months since something similar to this happened to me:

I don't think I am doing too bad! Have a good weekend, and I promise I will take some actual photos of actual knitting really soon!

Comments:
That look slike it might have hurt? I'm glad you're doing well. Have fun with the new yarn!

It was very good to see you again after so long - I was worried I wouldn't recognise you : Of course I did!!! No, I haven't developed a cough at all, rest assured. Happy Country Silk Knitting!! What has happened to you?? Is that a whole fish a la Queen Mother?????

Ouch!! What is that??

I have a confession to make, if you have been wondering why I haven't been visiting your blog, I somehow didn't have it listed in Bloglines (insert blushed face here) I have now fixed the problem, happy knitting :)

I enjoy watching the Iron Chef as well.

I can't imagine eating fish guts at all. Yuck!!!!!!!!

Sometimes I think the judges favour the iron chefs when the other chefs should win.

Ouch for the shoulder.

Cathy

I know that feelign. Time seems to be slippign away from me at the moment. I have done very little knitting and failed to blog about anythign for long periods of time.

Lettign the side down admirably I think. Will have to correct it, an outing to the coven tomorrow will soon set things right. Whato!

hmmm, looks like a shattered clavicle to me. Hope you're mending fine. Knitting is good therapy for the body and soul, don't you think?

You dont have to knit, you just have to want to. If there are other things to be done, knitting is always the light at the end of the busy tunnel.
Oh crap! Did I just write all that?
I think I might do greeting cards next.
Cheers Gillian

Hey, thanks for visiting. I hope you're over whatever you've got and are keeping warm. I wish I could send some of ours to you.

Thanks for the comment on the black wool but quite honestly I have no idea what I shall do with it! I just had to have it. I'd love ideas from anyone and if I have an inspiration I'll let you know.
Cheers Gillian

Hope you're feeling better soon. I'm coughing like a mad woman at the moment.
