  happy friday!
I have been working up to a blog entry for a couple of days now, beginning with a change of colour scheme and a tidy-up in my sidebar. Also, I have been knitting! And, I have taken pictures of the knitting. Admittedly the pictures are shocking, but I will share them anyway.

These are what were going to be toe-up Jaywalkers, but I just got sick of the pattern, so I pulled one whole sock and one quarter sock apart, and started again. They are being expertly modelled by Tiny Madam. She doesn't quite fill them out like I do, but you get the point. I made these using my Patonyle accessories book, and I quite like the pattern.

So much that I began another pair the other day with some Opal petticoat which I bought at the LYS a couple of weeks ago. I think it is really pretty. I would love to share another photo but I can not upload. Maybe another time. (Deep breaths).

As 2paw mentioned, I went to the Deloraine Craft Fair on the weekend, which I thoroughly enjoyed. Mainly due to the SuperSpunk coming with me! He is a true gem! I only bought a couple of little things, but we had a lovely lunch and a relaxing stroll around the venues. I fell in love with some felted brimmed hats similar to this, and I think this will be on the menu for next winter. I really am a hat person, but Tasmania is not a hat place. It is cold enough sometimes, but it is not the done thing.

In other news, I am as usual completely exhausted. I finished an essay last weekend, so that is the Uni stuff out of the way for this year. Now I just have the normal day to day work to get through. I am crossing days off the calendar now. Well, to be honest I start crossing the days off the calendar as soon as the school holidays finish in February. But now I am crossing off in red.

The Tiny Madam turns four in two weeks, so we are getting very excited around here. Then my birtday and then Christmas! EEEK! I can feel some hard core shopping coming on.

Love the socks!

Its getting to close to Chrissie for my liking! I have gotten more organised but would prefer having all the pressies by now.

Toe- up jaywalkers? I have just made top down ones and I love the pattern.

Probably because it's one of the only socks i've knitted where it didn't get weird and there went't even dragons involoved!

What a great model! They look as though they'll be pretty on slightly bigger feet too.

I love to wear hats but I know what you mean about not being the done thing here in Tassie, why is that??

I have a pattern for a similar felted one if you want to borrow, mind you it might mean you would have to come to one of our get togethers to get it ;)

Oh and last but definately not least, love the socks.

Make the hat, wear the hat!

Hat people have to show the rest of them how it is done! Can you tell I'm a hat person???

Cute socks!
